About the role
- Veterinary account manager growing clinic partnerships for Gateway Services, North America's pet aftercare provider. Managing territory relationships, retention, revenue growth and frequent customer travel.
Responsibilities
- Build and strengthen long-term relationships with veterinary hospitals and clinics
- Identify opportunities to grow existing customer partnerships and develop new business opportunities
- Understand each customer's business and recommend solutions that support their success
- Conduct regular business reviews, customer visits and strategic planning discussions
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM technology
- Achieve or exceed customer retention, revenue growth and activity objectives
- Manage an assigned geographic territory with a high degree of autonomy
- Travel to veterinary hospitals, customer locations, conferences and networking events
- Contribute to Gateway's continued growth alongside sales and operations teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of successful account management, relationship management or outside B2B sales experience
- Proven ability to grow existing customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities
- Experience managing a geographic sales territory
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics or similar
- Veterinary, healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical or related industry experience is an asset
- Valid driver's licence
- Willingness to travel approximately 75% throughout your assigned territory
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
