About the role

  • Technical Lead driving nuclear engineering efforts at GE Vernova to support clean energy initiatives. Leading a team in nuclear reactor design analyses and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • lead a group of engineers to perform dose consequence, dispersion analyses, contained and airborne source term characterization, decay heat and radiation protection evaluations for ALARA design implementation supporting GVH’s next generation of Light Water Reactor (LWR) the BWRX-300
  • manage team resource planning and assignments
  • perform manager review and approval of engineering technical deliverables
  • partner with business teams to provide work planning, scheduling, risks and technical support for customer deliverables
  • collaborate within a team environment and be accountable for delivering products and services on-time and on-budget
  • interface with internal and external customers, suppliers, partners, licensing, and regulatory authorities
  • support commercial and marketing opportunities to develop new business opportunities
  • work across engineering teams to ensure effective interdisciplinary design interfaces are established and maintained, resolve interdisciplinary issues, plan/support independent design reviews
  • perform work in compliance with NRC regulated policies and procedures
  • contribute to team process improvements to drive speed and simplification

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in engineering, physics, or closely related science discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in nuclear engineering, or related field
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information
  • M.S. in Nuclear Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university (desired)
  • Experience with BWR technology and sodium fast reactor technology (desired)
  • Experience with ORIGEN, RADTRAD, GALE, MCNP, SCALE, MELCOR, MAAP, MACCS (desired)
