- Vacuum Truck Operator providing industrial vacuum services for residential and commercial clients at GFL Environmental. Operating vacuum equipment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vacuum equipment in an industrial setting
- Follow company policies and procedures as well as various on-site requirements
- Provide exceptional service to all clients and professionally represent GFL
- Accurately complete numerous and various documents, including pre/post trip inspections, manifests, log books, VCRs, etc., in a legible manner to meet compliance requirements
- Maintain detailed and accurate company documentation to accompany work performed
- Participate in safety programs such as safety meetings, near miss reporting and job hazard
- Work independently while managing time and productivity and communicate effectively
- Perform minor maintenance on units to maintain efficient operation
- Participate in after hours/weekend on-call program
- Perform other duties assigned
Requirements
- Three (3) years of driver/operator experience is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess at minimum, DZ license and submit current abstracts, personal and CVOR (no demerits)
- Must have solid written communication skills in order to complete required paperwork
- Must have exceptional verbal communication skills to be able to interact with internal and external customers
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
