About the role
- Administrateur PostgreSQL assurant performance, fiabilité et sécurité des données d’ACCEO Solutions, éditeur de logiciels comptables. Gestion de l’architecture, réplication, migrations et infrastructure AWS.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Design and review PostgreSQL schema architecture and data models for existing and new products
- Optimize query and database performance through tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis
- Ensure operational reliability through backup and recovery strategies, high availability, replication, and disaster recovery plans
- Plan and execute production schema and data migrations while minimizing service disruptions
- Analyze and resolve complex database-related technical issues, including locks, timeouts, and data integrity problems
- Collaborate with development teams on triggers, functions, and schema constraints
- Contribute to data compliance requirements (SOC 2 Type 2, Quebec Law 25), including audits, traceability, and access management
- Establish best practices, standards, and documentation for PostgreSQL database management
- Assist with the AWS infrastructure surrounding the databases, including RDS configuration, security groups, and CloudWatch monitoring
- Support the infrastructure team
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in database administration, with deep PostgreSQL expertise
- Fluency in spoken and written French required; English is an asset
- Strong understanding of relational database design, SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and performance optimization
- Experience maintaining and improving commercial or enterprise production databases
- Excellent debugging, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of source control, version management, and quality assurance processes
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working as part of a distributed team
- Experience with multi-tenant architectures and managing multiple databases in parallel is preferred
- Experience with AWS or another cloud platform (RDS, EC2, VPC, IAM, Security Groups) is preferred
- Experience in regulated or financial environments is preferred
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code, is preferred
- Experience with API integrations and interfaces with third-party systems is preferred
- Experience optimizing performance in large-scale database environments is preferred
- Knowledge of security best practices for business-critical applications is preferred
- PostgreSQL skills (architecture, tuning, high availability, replication)
- AWS skills (RDS, EC2, VPC, IAM, Security Groups, CloudWatch)
- SQL performance optimization
- Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools
- REST APIs and system integrations
- Git or other source control systems
- Data security and compliance (SOC 2, Quebec Law 25)

- Hybrid arrangement: 4 days remote, with one required day per week in the Quebec City office (Tuesday), from March through December
