Responsibilities
Write high-quality, clear, actionable, “must-have research” based on proven Gartner methodologies
Deliver through thought leadership that offers compelling, actionable approaches to clients’ needs and requests
Be an industry-recognized expert on the architecture and implementation of cyber-physical systems security
Become an expert on the cyber-physical systems security industry, identifying and evaluating solutions vendors and understanding emerging trends
Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team of analysts and thought leaders
Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice aligned to their designated content area
Create and deliver presentation materials for Gartner events, industry and professional association conferences, and client briefings
Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions and collaborate effectively with peers
Requirements
At least 12 years of relevant field or industry experience
At least five years of experience securing cyber-physical systems in complex environments required
Must be able to think strategically across industry boundaries
Familiar with key industry standards related to CPS security risks such as NERC-CIP, ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, and C2M2
Familiar with CPS security vendors and deployment best practices
Demonstrate executive presence; can establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders
Fully proficient in understanding and dealing with corporate issues like governance, ownership, organizational constructs and politics
Superior analytical skills, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns while drawing and defending conclusions
Skilled at distilling complex concepts into concise advice, and developing and defending research positions
Strong written and verbal proficiency; analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions
