About the role
- CPA Financial Controller leading reporting, controls, compliance, and transformation for Henry Schein One’s Canadian dental software business. Managing the finance team and partnering on strategic growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full Canadian accounting and reporting finance function
- Manage and develop a team of accountants and transactional staff
- Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting and KPIs
- Prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range plans
- Ensure financial compliance, regulatory compliance, SOX reporting, and internal controls
- Lead statutory audits and prepare statutory financial statements
- Manage tax compliance, reporting, audits, and transfer pricing studies
- Protect the company’s credit position and manage working capital
- Partner with business leaders by providing financial insight and strategic advice
- Lead finance transformation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support investment decisions through financial modelling and analysis
- Recruit, coach, and develop finance team members
- Promote an inclusive and diverse team culture
Requirements
- CPA designation
- 5+ years of post-designation (CPA) experience
- Experience in the SaaS and/or technology sector
- Proven record of leading, transforming, and building accounting teams
- Experience communicating, influencing, and presenting at a senior leadership level
- Ability to clearly communicate technically complex financial issues and effectively influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience working within a highly regulated framework or globally listed organization
- Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, IFRS, and local GAAP
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central, or NetSuite preferred
