About the role
- Process Engineer at Hexion handling Mechanical/Chemical projects for the Edmonton Chemical Plant. Responsible for project management from scoping to execution and ensuring safety and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and project management services to Mechanical/Chemical projects
- Develop projects from scoping, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closure
- Work closely with Maintenance and Operations groups
- Prepare cost estimates, equipment specifications
- Ensure effective communication with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Project Contractors
Requirements
- BSc in Chemical or Mechanical engineering from a recognized University
- APEGA registered P.Eng.
- 5+ years’ experience in a plant environment, preferably in the chemical processing or manufacturing industry
- Skilled with multiple computer applications, including databases, spreadsheets, word-processing, project management, presentations, and relevant technical software
- Proficiency in AutoCAD-2D required
- Knowledgeable with SAP is a definite asset
