Warehouse Technician responsible for audit, shipment, and inventory in Sandvik Mining's operations. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational efficiency in material handling.
Responsibilities
Account for all materials and supplies in the facilities; audit goods received into warehouse.
Oversee receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
Prepare and coordinate schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.
Ensure the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.
Process sales orders and invoices.
Update and maintain the warehouse location system.
Participate in customer on-call services as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.
Responsible for identifying and reporting any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and / or near misses.
Perform risk assessments (“Take Five”) prior to each task.
Maintain orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.
Attend Environmental, Health and Safety related trainings.
Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) assigned for each task.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency.
Minimum of one (1) year of warehouse or inventory experience.
Experience in mining operations is considered an asset.
Experience operating a forklift is required.
Experience using computerized inventory management systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team.
Detail-oriented with good time management and organizational skills.
Computer literacy (MS Office).
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to move up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
