Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with veterinary customers to sell IDEXX’s medical device diagnostics portfolio
Engage customers through knowledgeable interactions, business discussions, and educational opportunities
Translate customer needs into diagnostic solutions using IDEXX’s products and services
Independently manage the territory and customer base to increase recurring diagnostic revenue and achieve quarterly medical device equipment sales
Increase utilization of in-house diagnostic tests and assays, instrument consumables, reference laboratory profiles, and advanced tests
Collaborate and co-sell with other IDEXX sales professionals to close capital equipment and technology sales
Educate and train veterinary clinic staff on products, services, and marketing initiatives
Maintain comprehensive and current knowledge of IDEXX products and services
Communicate customer needs and competitive issues to marketing and the business unit manager
Partner with and assist laboratory operations to resolve customer questions and service issues
Present IDEXX’s values professionally to customers
Attend regional trade shows and educational events
Manage IDEXX expenses and resources according to company guidelines
Adhere to and model IDEXX’s purpose and guiding principles
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 or more years of proven experience successfully managing an outside sales territory
Experience ideally in veterinary/animal health, human healthcare, medical device, dental device, and/or capital equipment sales
Ability to work collaboratively in a highly team-oriented sales environment
Ability to meet field sales requirements, including extensive car travel, overnight travel as needed, and potential weekend work
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
Valid driver’s license
Comfortable working in veterinary clinic and hospital environments
Must reside within or be willing to relocate into the Central & Northern Ontario territory, including Barrie and Collingwood areas
Benefits
Competitive Base Salary $85,000 - $103,000 flexible based on experience
