Responsibilities
Provide system support during the production life cycle of information technology systems.
Develop standards, participate in the development of strategic plans and provide operational and design specifications for Information and Technology Services managed systems.
Provide systems design expertise.
Provide project management support to design projects/teams or information systems or tools.
Design, build, and operate hosting systems which includes server and network components to deliver required system functions.
Manage the evolution of existing hosting systems and tools by implementing enhancements.
Requirements
Requires a knowledge of server management, Unix, Windows, infrastructure monitoring tools, computer science subjects and disciplines.
Requires a knowledge of technical writing to prepare effective reports.
Considerable experience in the design, development and support of computer systems.
Experience in computer system architecture, design and integration system networking administration.
Experience in the development of computer applications using standard development languages.
Experience in support of small to large scale computer systems database design and administration.
A period of up to eight years is considered necessary to gain this experience.
