About the role
- Infrastructure support engineer handling incidents, troubleshooting, monitoring, and service requests for Genpact’s enterprise technology services. Supporting hybrid operations on rotational night shifts in Montreal.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers or users seeking technical assistance by phone or email
- Create, acknowledge, follow up, escalate, and resolve incidents and service requests within allocated timelines
- Keep tickets updated until issues are resolved and communicate progress to end users or clients
- Perform basic monitoring and troubleshooting using Control-M, NetBackup, OBM, Mail Sweeper, Discovery Accelerator, HPE3PAR, NASTEL MQ Series, BlackBerry, V-Sphere, Active Directory, and SEP
- Perform morning report checks and share reports
- Execute tape rotation and restores according to procedures
- Learn new technology and domain knowledge to support business needs and personal growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Database Management, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Network Engineering
- English language proficiency required at C2 level
- Knowledge of OBM and METIS/ServiceNow for incidents, changes, requests, and problems
- Resource should be open to working rotational shifts
- Basic monitoring and troubleshooting experience with Control-M, NetBackup, OBM, Mail Sweeper, Discovery Accelerator, HPE3PAR, NASTEL MQ Series, BlackBerry, V-Sphere, Active Directory, and SEP
- Additional IT infrastructure knowledge in Unix/Windows patching, SimpliVity, network topology, SQL/Oracle/Sybase databases, SAN/NAS storage, StoreOnce, or NetBackup is advantageous
- Required skills: Agile Methodology, Applications Support, Backup Management, Collaboration Tools, Database Administration, Database Monitoring, OS Management, ServiceNow Platform, Storage Management, Windows Deployment Services (WDS), Windows Server Support
- AWS, Azure, and ITIL certifications are listed
