About the role

Senior infrastructure developer owning AWS environments, internal applications, and enterprise integrations. Supporting Benevity’s technology platform that enables companies and employees to take social action.

Responsibilities

Build and run a dedicated AWS environment for internal, non-customer-facing applications using S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, and IAM
Own source control, versioning, release, rollback, and monitoring for deployments
Define and manage role-based access tiers for hosted applications and enforce them through Okta
Build and maintain an inventory of internally built applications and assess data exposure and access risk
Own vulnerability remediation across the internal application estate, including tracking, prioritization, and closure
Develop and maintain internal applications as needed
Own technical design based on business outcomes and validate assumptions before building
Set and manage integration standards, including the approach to MCP
Build and maintain a reusable integration layer between internal applications and systems of record such as Jira, Zendesk, NetSuite, and Salesforce
Assess inherited internal applications and decide whether to keep, migrate, or retire them
Maintain retained applications through patching, credential rotation, cost reviews, and access reviews
Execute application retirements
Partner with AI Enablement and AI champions on tool hosting
Report estate health, vulnerabilities, and migration progress to stakeholders and leadership
Build working depth in Workato, BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, and Tableau

6+ years of software development or cloud infrastructure experience
Hands-on production ownership of an AWS environment
Practical depth in AWS managed services: S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, and IAM
Experience implementing SSO and identity-based access control at the edge, ideally with Okta
Strong development fundamentals: source control, environments, versioning, rollback, and documentation
Experience with security and compliance in a SaaS environment, including audit trails, sensitive-data handling, and scheduled vulnerability remediation
Demonstrated experience integrating enterprise SaaS systems through APIs
Familiarity with MCP sufficient to evaluate a vendor's implementation
Sound judgment about when to use vendor or open-source solutions instead of custom development
Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Workato, or governed low-code builders is a plus
A degree in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
