About the role

Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer scaling AWS networking and storage for Mecka AI’s robotics and embodied AI data infrastructure. Leading reliability, security, transfer, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate core AWS infrastructure covering networking, storage, and IAM
Build and maintain VPCs, subnets, routing, Transit Gateway, VPN/Direct Connect, DNS, and load balancing
Implement and tune S3 and related storage for petabyte-scale video and sensor data
Improve data transfer from capture sites through customer dataset delivery
Manage infrastructure as code through CI/CD
Support monitoring, alerting, on-call, incident response, and postmortems
Identify and deliver storage and data-transfer cost savings
Contribute to design reviews
Mentor other engineers
Collaborate with the ML, computer vision, and data teams

6+ years in infrastructure, platform, or cloud engineering
Experience building and operating production AWS environments at meaningful scale
Deep AWS networking expertise, including VPC design, routing, Transit Gateway or peering, VPN/Direct Connect, DNS (Route 53), load balancing, and connectivity troubleshooting
Hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale AWS storage, including S3 at scale, lifecycle policies, storage classes, replication, and performance tuning
Strong infrastructure-as-code practice; Terraform preferred
CI/CD ownership
IAM and security fundamentals, including least-privilege access, encryption, network segmentation, and audit readiness
Proficiency in at least one automation/tooling language: Python, Go, or similar
AWS certifications are a supporting signal, not a substitute for production experience
Ability to work in the location where the role is posted / work authorization for the posted location
