About the role

  • VFX Editor managing and setting up editorial materials for various projects in a visual effects studio. Collaborating with producers on client deliveries and promotional demo reels.

Responsibilities

  • VFX Editors play a crucial role in the initial setup and management of all editorial material
  • Setup and control internal daily sessions, and quality control of shot outputs for clients
  • Responsible for all editorial work relating to show demo reels and promotional pieces
  • Collaborate with Executive Producers and Central Production Manager to ensure task management meets client show delivery requirements
  • Work with Marketing Manager to develop demo reels to promote Image Engine’s work and secure new business
  • Ensure all completed work is brand aligned and highlights areas specified by Executive Producer/Marketing Manager

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of film editing experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical school certification in film editing or computer graphics, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience must be in animation, film or digital effects
  • Advanced knowledge of Avid Media Composer
  • Familiarity with RV, Resolve, Nuke, Adobe Premiere (+CS) is an asset
  • Good understanding of Autodesk Shotgun production tracking system
  • Comfortable using Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems
