Senior Fund Accountant reviewing NAV, fees, budgets, and US GAAP audits. Supporting fund onboarding and process improvements for Innocap’s alternative investment platform.
Responsibilities
Review and approve fund administrators’ net asset valuation (NAV) calculations
Review management/incentive fees and expense ratios for alternative investment products
Support daily fund activities from the accounting team’s perspective
Act as point person for escalated queries from clients, investment managers, administrators, and counterparties
Participate in communications and project work with internal and external partners
Collaborate on fund onboarding and new fund implementation
Review valuation policies and engage with Innocap’s valuation committee and fund administrators
Participate in fund audits, manage timelines, join calls, coordinate internal and external partners, and review US GAAP financial statement drafts
Review and provide feedback on fund documentation, including management and partnership agreements
Coordinate fund setup with fund administrators and monitor service level agreements
Prepare, regularly review, and monitor fund budgets
Collaborate on process improvement and documentation and perform other assigned activities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 4–5 years of experience
Strong knowledge of various financial instruments and their valuation
Experience with hedge funds with different investment structures and instrument types
Excellent knowledge of US GAAP reporting standards
Knowledge of legal documents such as Offering Memorandums and Partnership Agreements
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Excel and SharePoint
Analytical, detail- and control-oriented, resourceful, organized, and able to manage work in a timely manner
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated leadership qualities and a proactive, positive, adaptable approach to work
