About the role

  • Senior Fund Accountant reviewing NAV, fees, budgets, and US GAAP audits. Supporting fund onboarding and process improvements for Innocap’s alternative investment platform.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve fund administrators’ net asset valuation (NAV) calculations
  • Review management/incentive fees and expense ratios for alternative investment products
  • Support daily fund activities from the accounting team’s perspective
  • Act as point person for escalated queries from clients, investment managers, administrators, and counterparties
  • Participate in communications and project work with internal and external partners
  • Collaborate on fund onboarding and new fund implementation
  • Review valuation policies and engage with Innocap’s valuation committee and fund administrators
  • Participate in fund audits, manage timelines, join calls, coordinate internal and external partners, and review US GAAP financial statement drafts
  • Review and provide feedback on fund documentation, including management and partnership agreements
  • Coordinate fund setup with fund administrators and monitor service level agreements
  • Prepare, regularly review, and monitor fund budgets
  • Collaborate on process improvement and documentation and perform other assigned activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of various financial instruments and their valuation
  • Experience with hedge funds with different investment structures and instrument types
  • Excellent knowledge of US GAAP reporting standards
  • Knowledge of legal documents such as Offering Memorandums and Partnership Agreements
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Excel and SharePoint
  • Analytical, detail- and control-oriented, resourceful, organized, and able to manage work in a timely manner
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and a proactive, positive, adaptable approach to work
