Responsibilities
Lead market access strategy for Omnipod across Canada
Develop strategically targeted payer engagement, relationship, and account management at country and provincial levels
Create, disseminate, and manage provincial submissions from concept through approval
Develop contacts and relationships with public and private insurance companies at operational, strategic, and executive levels
Influence payer stakeholders to drive business objectives and coverage decisions
Implement access agreements and identify opportunities to streamline administrative burden
Educate payers and influence medical policy decisions and perceptions of Insulet’s value
Align with pricing strategy
Maintain in-depth understanding of provincial payer environments and the diabetes community
Develop strategic plans aligned with organizational goals
Provide market access information to Marketing, Sales, Reimbursement, and Inside Sales teams
Partner cross-functionally on coverage, adoption, cycle-time reduction, and account/market opportunities
Leverage published market data and internal CRM for data-driven insights
Provide feedback to support effective organizational decisions
Perform other duties as required
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 6+ years’ medical device experience in Canadian 3rd party and provincial reimbursement procedures
2+ years of medical device sales experience (preferably with diabetes products) is preferred
Related business experience with product submissions, tenders, and negotiations with national and regional, public and private payers
Experience building and gathering intel and insights in the payor environment
Experience calling on and developing relationships with provincial and private payers
In-depth understanding of healthcare systems
Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
Project management experience with ability to prioritize and drive results
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to provide and analyze performance-driven data
Ability to organize and judge priorities
Ability to generate and maintain accurate records
Strong computer proficiency and experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
