About the role

Actuarial Manager leading claims data analytics for Intact, a Canadian insurer. Improving claims profitability, operational efficiency, customer experience, and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

Support strategic claims decisions focused on customer experience, operational excellence and financial performance
Develop analytical methods to understand inflationary pressures in bodily injury coverage and other business segments
Contribute to operational initiatives mitigating inflationary pressures
Accelerate exploration of GenAI use cases in claims operations
Monitor the impact of reforms affecting Accident Benefits, Large Loss and Specialty Lines in Ontario and Alberta
Contribute to large-scale projects improving operational outperformance across claims
Help achieve employee engagement, indemnity control and customer experience improvement goals
Analyze and interpret actuarial analysts' reports and make recommendations to improve claims operations performance
Manage performance reviews, development and coaching for group members
Organize, plan and control human, financial and material resources according to company strategies and budget
Manage and provide technical advice to actuarial staff
Represent the CDAT Actuarial Service at workshops and committees
Advise claims operations personnel on data-driven decisions to control claims, increase efficiency and improve customer experience

University degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
FCAS designation is an asset
At least 7 years of experience, including 2 years in management or coaching, is a definite asset
