Responsibilities
- Work with the development team to coordinate the development of new features and resolve issues
- Learn how to design, code, and test new features of our policy management system.
- Discover what it's like to work as a Developer and how technological advances are changing the way insurance companies do business
- Explore new ideas and learn best practices in a fun and inclusive environment
- Participate in the development of Client Centre APIs in Java, Kotlin, and Nest.
- Adjust unit tests to ensure the quality of the new development.
- Adjust the technical documentation supporting the code.
Requirements
- Currently pursing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in a field related to software development, computer science, or any other related field
- Have at least one prior internship in a similar or related role
- Understand the software development lifecycle and be curious about continuous delivery pipelines and testing
- Experience in a financial services company (an asset)
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Adaptability, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for technology
- Self-reliant with a strong sense of responsibility, a team player with a good sense of leadership
- Available to work with us full-time, 35 hours per week, for the Fall Term from September 8 to December 18
- Must be an active student during your internship and/or returning to school in next Winter 2027 following your internship
- Be bilingual for all Quebec roles (English and French).
