Responsibilities
Lead the annual fundraising planning process with the Director of Fundraising to produce strategies achieving revenue targets
Develop short- and long-term strategies to achieve organizational goals
Identify potential income streams and strategies to access them
Produce cost-effective budgets and keep the Fundraising Department within budget
Ensure execution of fundraising and community engagement plans across all regions in Canada
Support and partner with the Director of Fundraising and senior managers on major fundraising initiatives
Develop and implement IRC's strategic fundraising and community engagement plan
Develop and implement a comprehensive fund development strategy covering community, corporate, foundation, mosque, and government grant sources
Seek fundraising opportunities including partner events, charity tours, and challenges
Oversee research into funding sources and trends to develop fundraising methods and best practices
Seek national and regional community engagement opportunities to acquire new donors and steward existing donors and partners
Develop and implement a stewardship program for deeper ties with community stakeholders
Monitor and report KPI and goal progress to the Director of Fundraising
Identify, develop, and mentor the fund development team
Line-manage fundraising staff, including all regional managers
Set objectives and work plans for regional managers
Manage workload and performance through regular one-to-one discussions
Plan and implement personal development programs for team members
Conduct annual performance reviews
Requirements
5-plus years of professional management experience in a nonprofit organization
Demonstrated success in a development function, managing and forging relationships with multiple donor sources
Bachelor's degree required
Master's preferred
Significant and relevant achievement at management level in a comparable national/international organization
Experience expanding and cultivating community stakeholder relationships, including Mosques, Domestic Partners, Cultural Organizations, and Professional Organizations
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships
Flexible and adaptable leadership style
Ability to lead direct reports to excel and exceed goals and objectives
High energy and passion for IRC's mission
Ability to construct, articulate, and implement an annual strategic development plan
Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail

Experience utilizing an organization's brand for charity/business development
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
