About the role
- Senior Data & Solution Architect designing Azure and Microsoft Fabric data platforms for Keyrus clients. Leading lakehouse architecture, integration, optimization, and delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable target-state data architectures and strategic roadmaps
- Architect end-to-end data platforms, lakehouses, and pipelines using Microsoft Fabric or complementary cloud technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Data Services
- Design and govern medallion lakehouse architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold) prioritizing scalability, governance, performance, and data quality
- Architect parameterized ingestion frameworks supporting batch and near real-time integrations across databases, APIs, files, streaming platforms, and hybrid environments
- Design broader Azure integration architectures connecting data platforms, enterprise applications, APIs, and cloud services using Azure Integration Services
- Define scalable and secure API-based, messaging, and event-driven integration patterns across the Azure ecosystem
- Optimize pipeline and query performance through Spark tuning, partitioning strategies, shortcuts, and incremental loading techniques
- Design and optimize semantic models, including star schemas, DirectLake and Import strategies, DAX optimization, relationships, and aggregations
- Define and implement CI/CD strategies for reliable, automated, and scalable deployments across multiple environments
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Data Engineers, Analysts, and multidisciplinary delivery teams
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative approaches that strengthen client data and cloud ecosystems and business capabilities
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platforms, or Modern Data Architecture roles
- Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric or complementary cloud technologies, including medallion lakehouse architectures, ingestion frameworks, semantic models, and performance optimization
- Advanced understanding of data warehouse, lakehouse, and cloud-native architecture patterns
- Experience designing solutions using Azure Integration Services, including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, and/or API Management
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns across APIs, messaging, event-driven architectures, and cloud services
- Expertise optimizing Spark workloads, partitioning strategies, incremental loading, and scalable data pipelines
- Experience designing semantic models using star schema principles, DirectLake, Import strategies, DAX optimization, and aggregations
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for enterprise data and cloud platforms
- Ability to combine technical depth with a consulting mindset
- Ability to move comfortably between business conversations and technical design
- Ability to balance scalability, security, maintainability, cost, and business value
- Clear communication, constructive challenge, and technical leadership for multidisciplinary teams
- Nice-to-haves: experience with Workday, Dynamics 365, Business Central, Microsoft Graph, Salesforce, or SAP
- Nice-to-haves: exposure to AI, modern data architectures, microservices, or cloud-native application design
