Responsibilities
Oversee activities and processes related to the configuration, execution, and monitoring of continuous localization deployment workflows
Manage the full delivery cycles for the client’s products
Oversee deliverable quality and prioritize tasks for each cycle with the team
Communicate with development teams to resolve issues and remove blockers
Create and maintain documentation and operational guides related to delivery processes
Ensure localization compliance during releases and act as the first responder when issues arise
Lead the resolution of bugs and issues using dedicated tools and with the relevant teams
Serve as an escalation point for emerging issues during releases
Manage risks and resolve issues affecting delivery scope, timelines, and quality
Track, report, and analyze localization quality KPIs and bug metrics
Provide regional and central stakeholders with visibility into localization status
Participate in AQL and test planning, coordinate the vendor side, and advise on workload and operational capacity
Contribute technical expertise to training, RFCs, and global initiatives
Train new members of the testing team and provide performance feedback
Make recommendations regarding productivity and performance
Coordinate testing strategies and support their execution
Requirements
Experience as a Senior AQL Tester or AQL Team Lead required
Open-minded and proactive approach to soliciting others’ ideas and suggestions
Ability to resolve conflicts effectively, tactfully, and maturely
Effective management of multiple tasks and ability to advance several workstreams in parallel
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
Availability to work overtime or weekends to meet project and client milestones
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies and report or correct them appropriately
Experience with JIRA, TTP, DevTrack, and SpiraTest
Good understanding of localization quality assurance (LQA) processes and certification testing
Understanding of software submission requirements and processes
Ability to make informed decisions based on acquired experience and team feedback
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
More than 3 years of experience in the video game industry preferred
Degree or diploma in Computer Science or Translation preferred
Knowledge of an additional language is an asset
Familiarity with linguistic and translation databases preferred
Experience with internal testing tools preferred
Passion for video games preferred
