Bilingual content creator developing English-Spanish learning activities and assessments for Khan Academy Kids. Improving early-learning content, tooling, and quality through data and child testing.

Responsibilities

Author standards-aligned bilingual learning activities and assessment items in English and Spanish for PreK through second grade
Map content coverage across the Khan Academy Kids library and identify coverage gaps
Build crosswalks connecting practice activities to assessments
Revise assessments using direct child assessment data and psychometric analyses
Author and test assessment items with children and educators in classroom settings
Learn and leverage content-authoring infrastructure
Partner with product and engineering to improve authoring tools and workflows
Coordinate creative asset and audio requests
Improve audio-generation and quality-assurance processes
Serve as editorial reviewer for English and Spanish content

2+ years of experience developing educational content or teaching, ideally with children in preschool through second grade
Full professional fluency and strong writing and editing skills in English and Spanish
Ability to create, edit, and adapt developmentally appropriate bilingual content while preserving meaning, tone, and cultural relevance
Experience with early-learning standards such as Head Start ELOF, Common Core, and state PreK frameworks
Comfort using data and learner feedback to evaluate and improve content
Comfort learning technical systems and working with structured content
Experience with or willingness to learn JSON and SQL
Experience collaborating across product, engineering, design, research, creative, and academic teams
Strong project-management and organizational skills with close attention to detail
Proven cross-cultural competency and inclusive perspectives
Spanish proficiency will be assessed during the hiring process
