About the role
- Winter highway maintenance operator operating snowplows and heavy equipment for Ledcor, an infrastructure construction and maintenance company. Maintaining Alberta highways and performing seasonal road repairs.
Responsibilities
- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
- Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year-round
- Assist with labourer duties, including crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation
- Perform winter and seasonal highway maintenance
- Work outside in all weather conditions
Requirements
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
- Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
- Ability to work shift work, on-call, and night shifts as required
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
