About the role

  • Senior Software Engineer building Liferaft’s threat intelligence platform for organizations managing security risks. Developing backend systems, data ingestion pipelines, APIs, and platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and maintain the customer-facing threat intelligence platform in alignment with customer and market requirements
  • Participate in standups, design and sprint reviews, bug bashes, and sprint kickoff activities for product releases
  • Continuously analyze and optimize the platform to ensure an excellent customer experience
  • Evaluate and propose new technologies and methodologies aligned with industry best practices
  • Leverage agile practices and encourage collaboration, prioritization, and urgency to develop at a rapid pace
  • Develop and maintain scalable data ingestion and processing systems for reliable, efficient handling of high-volume data
  • Partner with engineering leadership and core product engineering teams to build new features and capabilities across data acquisition, data visualization, threat intelligence, and management
  • Report to the Engineering Manager

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience with Python, Ruby, Go, PHP, or similar programming languages for back-end/API development
  • 5 years of experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMSs, including solid understanding of SQL and database schema design
  • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript / TypeScript, CSS, HTML, browser security model, and browser APIs
  • Experience with React for front-end development
  • Experience with ElasticSearch or similar technologies is a plus
  • Creative problem-solving ability, collaboration skills, and passion for lifelong learning
  • Passion for agile development, iterative improvement, and delivering value early and often
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with PHP and Laravel is a plus
