Air Canada seeks a Data Scientist (Agentic Engineer) to build and operate production - grade agentic AI systems, collaborating with Data Scientists on scalable cloud solutions.
About the role
- GenAI Architect contributing to AI-powered applications through design and implementation in an agile team. Own the architecture for agentic AI systems and collaborate with diverse engineers.
Responsibilities
- Owned the design and implementation of agentic AI systems
- Worked hands-on with the development team to bring intelligent, production-grade solutions to life
- Designed and iterated on multi-agent AI architectures using LangGraph and LangChain
- Defined integration standards for MCP servers and agent communication protocols
- Collaborated daily with engineers to implement and review AI components
- Advised on prompt engineering strategy, tool use design, and agent reliability
- Contributed to technical documentation and architectural decision records
Requirements
- Proven experience with LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith - design, development, and production deployment
- Hands-on experience implementing Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations
- Experience building Agent-to-Agent (A2A) architectures and multi-agent workflows
- Ability to work closely and collaboratively within a cross-functional development team
- Strong communication skills - able to translate complex AI concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- English proficiency at B2 level or above
- NICE TO HAVE: Experience with telephony and call centre application development
- Familiarity with Twilio APIs and voice/AI integration patterns
- Background in enterprise AI platform architecture
