About the role
- Senior mobile platform software developer shaping React Native architecture and AI-native developer workflows. MaintainX builds mobile-first work execution software for industrial and frontline teams.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the 1–2-year technical strategy, governance, and architecture for the mobile platform
- Design and implement the essential foundations and tools for the mobile application
- Set quality standards by contributing to the most complex technical challenges
- Lead the consolidation and evolution of SDKs, CI pipelines, build tools, release trains, observability, and agentic development golden paths
- Promote AI-native workflows and ways of working across the platform and product teams
- Raise development standards through architecture reviews, RFCs, and technical mentorship
- Collaborate with platform engineering managers across multiple teams to establish priorities and roadmaps
- Define and track platform success metrics
- Present priorities, decisions, and outcomes to senior leadership stakeholders
- Collaborate with technical leaders across the company
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience, including significant mobile experience
- Proven track record of technical leadership at the staff, principal, or equivalent level
- Experience introducing AI-assisted workflows within a platform or organization
- Deep expertise in React Native, including architecture, performance, and native iOS and Android integration
- Experience designing shared modules, SDKs, and reusable components adopted by multiple teams
- Expertise in mobile fundamentals: CI/CD, build systems, release management, app signing and distribution, and mobile observability
- Experience influencing the technical direction of multiple teams and organizations without direct reporting authority
- Product-oriented approach to internal platforms, including measuring adoption and making build-versus-buy decisions
- Excellent mentoring and communication skills
- Expert-level English, both written and spoken
