About the role
- Plant Operator responsible for operating electrochemical processing equipment at a lithium production plant in Delta, BC. Requires chemistry knowledge and experience in chemical manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Operate electrochemical processing equipment
- Control and monitor process equipment for production of battery-grade lithium chemicals
- Commissioning of new production facility
- Prepare and handle chemical batches
- Resolve operational issues
- Interact with SCADA and HMIs
- Train new hires and cross-train other staff members
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- Understanding of basic chemistry
- Proficiency in math, chemistry and technical subjects
- 3-5 years’ experience in chemical manufacturing
- Experience with electrochemical systems, water treatment, crystallization
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Experience with HMI or SCADA-based operation
- Ability to follow schematics and standard operating procedures
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including night shifts and weekends
