About the role

  • Risk Management professional conducting security assessments for Canadian Business Unit at Manulife. Evaluating technologies and collaborating with teams to ensure security compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of technology systems, applications, and infrastructure
  • Review and sign off on application security measures during the software development lifecycle
  • Consult with business and engineering teams to integrate security practices
  • Provide expertise in security incident investigations and response
  • Deliver training around IRM processes and respond to audits

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security including cloud and application security
  • Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and security testing methodologies
  • Deep knowledge of cloud computing security and IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS environments
  • Excellent business communication skills
  • Experience in IT/Information Risk management including vendor and project risk management
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or relevant experience preferred
  • Relevant professional designations (e.g., CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CISA, GSEC) preferred
