About the role
- Visual Designer creating and validating graphic/UI design prompts for Mercor’s AI-training projects. Applying real-world visual design expertise to improve multimodal frontier models.
Responsibilities
- Write, review, and validate prompt-based questions designed to train AI
- Ensure prompts and responses reflect real-world graphic and UI design processes
- Help shape how AI understands and simulates multimodal visual-design workflows
- Participate in an AI interview about creative workflows, user experience planning, and systemic design thinking
- Share your screen and walk through a design showcasing design fundamentals and aesthetic
- Submit a portfolio for evaluation
- Work on projects focused on training and enhancing AI systems
Requirements
- Over 1+ years of experience in graphic or UI design
- Bachelor's degree in design or a related field
- Currently based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia
- Strong background creating high-quality visual designs, including websites/apps and brand/marketing assets
- Unique aesthetic sensibility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Exposure to LLMs and GenAI prompting
- Excellent visual design experience, skills, and a portfolio
- Not a UX-design-only background; applicants should have graphic or UI visual design experience
- Must be able to complete a desktop/laptop screen-sharing task and participate in the AI interview
- H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
