About the role

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and evolve backend architectures using Python, FastAPI, and APIs
- Lead the integration of advanced AI models, including LLMs, agents, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases
- Define, optimize, and oversee AI pipelines and distributed systems
- Establish software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, architecture, and documentation
- Participate in code reviews, technology decisions, and quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor, advise, and support less experienced developers
- Contribute to the reliability, performance, scalability, and security of deployed applications
- Collaborate with researchers, engineers, designers, and project managers
- Document architectures, data flows, technical decisions, and shared components
- Develop reusable internal libraries, frameworks, and components
- Stay current with developments in GenAI, LLMOps, and agent architectures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, applied mathematics, AI, or a related field
- 5–7+ years of software development experience, including significant backend experience
- Excellent command of Python, APIs, database integrations, and distributed services
- Strong skills in software architecture, service design, testing, CI/CD, and performance optimization
- Demonstrated experience with LLMs, RAG, agents, embeddings, or vector databases
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and lead technical initiatives
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science, software engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field
- 5–7+ years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus
- Excellent command of Python, API development, distributed systems, and backend design
- Proven experience integrating advanced LLM or RAG systems into real-world applications
- Strong architectural thinking, system design, debugging, and performance optimization skills
- Ability to lead initiatives in a multidisciplinary environment
- Proficiency in French and English
- Experience with FastAPI, cloud deployments (GCP, Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, vector databases, agent architectures, evaluation frameworks, observability, monitoring, metrics, tracing, logging, performance optimization, React, and Next.js is considered an asset
