About the role

  • Quant Developer designing, deploying, and monitoring DeFi vault strategies. Owning quantitative systems, risk parameters, and onchain execution for live capital.

Responsibilities

  • Design and ship vault strategies from thesis and design document through implementation, simulation, deployment, and live operation
  • Optimize strategies through signals research, execution optimization, gas-aware rebalancing across tokens and chains, liquidity management, and duration management
  • Conduct protocol and asset due diligence, evaluating protocols, collateral assets, and chains for solvency mechanics, oracle design, redemption paths, and liquidity depth
  • Own risk parameters including supply caps, LLTV settings, concentration limits, VaR-based exposure models, and automated de-risking logic
  • Integrate new protocols and chains by building and validating adapters for lending markets, DEX aggregators, and bridges
  • Verify strategy behavior against forked-chain simulation before capital touches it
  • Extend risk-monitoring and alerting systems and define paging conditions
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for owned strategies
  • Support vault and strategy launches in partnership with growth, capital markets, and client teams
  • Own strategy performance, safety, and uptime across the full strategy lifecycle

Requirements

  • A track record of building quantitative systems that run in production — algorithmic trading, portfolio optimization, market making, or risk systems at a trading firm, asset manager, fintech, or crypto-native company
  • Often 2–8 years of experience, with emphasis on what you've built over years on a résumé
  • Strong Python and solid software-engineering fundamentals, including testing and code review
  • Applied quantitative skills in optimization, statistics, and simulation
  • Ability to validate models against real data
  • Comfort with SQL and data pipelines
  • Production ownership, including debugging live systems under pressure and ensuring systems are correct, monitored, and recoverable
  • Clear technical communication
  • Hands-on DeFi experience is a bonus, including lending protocols, ERC-4626 vaults, AMMs, or oracle systems
  • Solidity / EVM literacy is a bonus; non-EVM experience such as Solana is also valued
  • On-chain operational experience with multisig workflows, transaction submission and signing infrastructure, and bridging is a bonus
  • TypeScript and familiarity with a modern data stack such as BigQuery, Dagster, Hex, GCP/Kubernetes are bonus points
  • Experience with risk modeling for volatile or thinly-traded assets, including VaR, liquidation modeling, and stress testing, is a bonus
  • Genuine curiosity about digital assets and DeFi
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and handle occasional market-event nights

Benefits

  • Remote first — work from anywhere in the US & Canada
  • Regular in-person company retreats and cross-country "office visit" perk
  • 100% paid medical, dental, and vision premiums for employees
  • $1,000 WFH stipend
