About the role
- Developer Productivity Engineer building AI agents, CI automation, and code-quality tooling. Improving software delivery for Tether’s blockchain-powered digital finance products.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, integrate, and maintain developer tools and AI agents
- Build and operate agents in CI and scheduled workflows to investigate failures and propose fixes
- Improve automated pull request reviews by evaluating finding accuracy and reducing reviewer noise
- Develop code quality scripts and checks for complexity, function and file size, dependency cycles, and performance regressions
- Work with package owners on practical thresholds and targeted refactoring
- Improve development environments, testing, and build and release workflows
- Prioritize improvements with engineering teams
- Support adoption through documentation and onboarding
- Measure effectiveness, reliability, and operating costs
- Own tooling improvements from implementation through adoption and ongoing support
Requirements
- Experience building and maintaining developer tools or engineering automation used by others
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js skills
- Hands-on experience using and integrating AI coding tools or agents
- Sound judgment regarding AI tool limitations, output validation, and human review
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and automated testing
- Systematic debugging of build, test, or integration failures
- Strong approach to code quality, maintainable code, automated checks, and behavior-preserving refactoring
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineers
- Clear English communication skills within a remote, globally distributed team
