About the role

  • Lead Messaging Engineering Specialist in Workforce Technology and Services enhancing messaging platforms for Morgan Stanley. Focusing on system management, scripting, and communications technology.

Responsibilities

  • System management and upkeep of the production environment
  • Representing and managing the system with control functions such as internal audit, legal, security teams
  • Problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, escalation and notification.
  • Ability to convey procedures for operational support of the system, provide training to other groups to share expertise
  • Run book documentation - inventories, problem resolution processes, documentation
  • Testing of server upgrades and patch deployment
  • Python or PowerShell software development to drive archiving, provisioning, reporting and productivity improvements in communications technologies (chat messaging and meetings/unified communications)
  • Update and maintain existing scripts and toolset
  • Successful navigation of code and security reviews
  • Ability to interface with scripting stakeholders to drive improvements, fixes
  • Understanding of design and implementation of communications technology infrastructure, to drive efficient design of software interfaces to those platforms
  • Ability to work with developers and operational engineers to successfully implement/rollout and debug solutions

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7+ years of IT experience delivering solutions within enterprise technology environment
  • Technical experience with managing one or more of the following products: ChatGPT, M365 Copilot, Teams, Slack, Zoom, Grok, Claude
  • Knowledge of security practices and review including application configuration through web proxies, customer managed encryption of data at rest, and networking concepts.
  • Awareness of Generative AI tools, with an understanding of data protection and governance considerations in AI-enabled environments.
  • Awareness of AI governance frameworks, risk monitoring, and compliance best practices.
  • Self-starter with good interpersonal skills to facilitate working with stakeholders, end-users and other IT colleagues.
  • Professional ownership of issues with good organizational skills; Ability to plan and prioritize
  • Proven troubleshooting skills in a support environment with a strong sense of commitment and drive towards problem resolution
  • Familiarity tracking and working using agile concepts such as Kanban/Scrum
