About the role

Senior Quality Engineer responsible for implementing quality assurance and monitoring product quality. Collaborating with teams to resolve issues and improve processes at Murata Power Solutions.

Responsibilities

Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible implementing Quality assurance during the design and development of product life cycle.
Monitoring the product quality throughout the product life cycle.
Identifying and resolving quality issues which include troubleshooting problems, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Analyzing quality data and reporting on quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, risk mitigation, active involvement with multi-functional teams to develop better understanding of the quality issues to drive continuous improvement.
Active participation in ISO external/internal audits, support in implementation of Murata’ QMS, managing customer and management of SCARs/CAT/8Ds, and stop order processes.

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Electronic) or equivalent degree with electronic manufacturing experience preferred.
10+ years of relevant industry experience in the quality department with strong technical knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical components and systems preferred.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills using 8D, A3, DMAIC, SPC, DOE, PDCA, 5P, 5 Why, FT, process mapping, and/or equivalent quality tools, methods, and techniques.
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
Highly motivated individual with a passion for Quality and innovation.
Experience working with remote teams and CMs (Contract Manufacturers).
Nice to have ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) / 6 Sigma certification.
Good understanding of statistical methods, continuous improvement, lean methodology (Green or six-sigma black belt certification will be plus)
Practical working experience in MS-Word, Excel, power point, MS project and Minitab.
Ability to travel up to 15% to 20% domestically and internationally.
