About the role

  • Talent Acquisition Specialist delivering full-cycle recruitment for NFI Group, a manufacturer and provider of buses, motorcoaches, parts, technology, and transportation services. Building talent pipelines and supporting workforce development.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver full-cycle recruitment across NFI Group’s companies and functions
  • Partner with local HR teams and hiring leaders on recruitment strategies
  • Build proactive talent pipelines and support workforce planning initiatives
  • Address complex and hard-to-fill hiring needs
  • Implement enterprise-wide talent acquisition and workforce development strategies, programs, and processes
  • Enhance talent attraction, candidate experience, employer branding, workforce development, and recruitment effectiveness
  • Source candidates, assess qualifications, conduct interviews, manage offers, and support onboarding
  • Use recruitment metrics and data to evaluate hiring effectiveness, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement
  • Provide consultative recruitment and workforce planning guidance to hiring leaders
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, industry events, educational institutions, and community activities
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and workforce development initiatives
  • Work Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with up to 5% travel

Requirements

  • Post Secondary education in Bus Admin, HR or related discipline including relative experience
  • 2-3 years of experience delivering full-cycle recruitment across multiple functions and levels
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, candidate assessment, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding
  • Ability to build partnerships with hiring managers and HR teams
  • Experience developing talent pipelines through sourcing, networking, community partnerships, workforce development programs, and employer branding initiatives
  • Experience recruiting for specialized, high-volume, hard-to-fill, or business-critical positions
  • Ability to assess candidate qualifications, organizational fit, and potential
  • Experience using recruitment metrics and data
  • Knowledge of recruitment best practices, compliance requirements, candidate experience principles, and talent acquisition technologies
  • Experience representing an organization at career fairs, industry events, educational institutions, and community engagement activities
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, stakeholder management, analytical, reporting, computer, organizational, administrative, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies
  • Knowledge of employment legislation, recruitment best practices, and inclusive hiring principles
  • Must be eligible to travel within Canada or the United States
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
