About the role

  • QA Specialist supporting Nuclear Quality Management System at NPX. Collaborating on compliance activities and audits to maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution and continuous improvement of our Nuclear Quality Management System (NQMS).
  • Execute day-to-day compliance activities, draft document revisions, and track conformance to standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and support internal and external audits end-to-end by preparing the documents, coordinating stakeholders, and following findings through to resolution.
  • Identify and document quality issues, recommend practical solutions, and ensure any nonconforming work is carefully reviewed and approved before moving forward.
  • Monitor quality performance against targets, pull together the data, and share clear, useful insights with the QA Director and leadership.
  • Support and maintain NQMS systems, keeping records up to date, and help users navigate the tools.
  • Deliver and coordinate QA training, keep materials current, and track completion.
  • Review and log client feedback to assess quality issues and feed learnings into corrective actions.
  • Help create an environment where people feel comfortable raising concerns and flagging risks early.
  • Leverage technology solutions to further improve support.
  • Help expand our Nuclear QA as a service offering and deliver effective results.

Requirements

  • You are familiar with CSA N299, CSA N286, and the Canadian nuclear regulatory framework.
  • Experience or training in auditing, lead auditing, project management, root cause analysis, and technical writing, are strong assets.
  • You have supported audits, helped close findings, and improved processes—whether in nuclear or other QA environments.
  • You are a clear, thoughtful communicator with strong technical writing skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the confidence to present findings to senior leadership, suppliers, or customers.
  • You take ownership, speak up when something does not look right, and actively support human performance (HU) behaviours and a strong nuclear safety culture.
  • You contribute to and strengthen our culture—bringing honesty to audit findings, generosity to training, and a “Day 1” mindset to continuously improve how we approach quality.
