About the role
- Field Representative facilitating educational workshops and supporting agricultural initiatives for OSCIA. Engaging with farmers and promoting sustainable practices through virtual delivery methods.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of programming across multiple counties/districts
- Facilitate virtual workshops, including logistics and delivery
- Collaborate with Technical Advisors to co-deliver workshops
- Promote cost-share opportunities and assist with research initiatives
- Conduct virtual inspections of approved cost-share projects
- Host virtual information sessions to communicate funding opportunities
- Provide accurate information to farm producers and sector groups
- Contribute to program improvement by identifying efficiencies and incorporating client feedback
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in agriculture, environmental sciences, or related discipline
- Strong understanding of Ontario agriculture, including environmental and economic farm sustainability
- Demonstrated experience facilitating adult education sessions or agricultural workshops
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service experience supporting producers or agricultural clients
- Strong administrative, coordination, and organizational skills
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license required
- French language proficiency considered an asset.
