QA Test Lead (UAT) for banking/risk technology transformation program. Lead UAT strategy, planning, execution, and defect management in a hybrid Toronto contract role.
About the role
- SQA Specialist responsible for validating software quality at Riedel Communications. Collaborating with teams to analyze requirements and execute testing processes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical documentation to provide relevant feedback
- Create detailed, clear, and well-structured test plans
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
- Identify, document, and track bugs
- Perform regression testing following bug fixes
- Develop and apply test processes for new and existing products
- Collaborate with internal teams (developers, product managers) to define prerequisites
- Monitor and analyze debugging process results
- Investigate root causes of non-conformities
- Track and improve quality assurance performance metrics
- Stay up to date on testing tools and strategies
Requirements
- Significant experience in software quality assurance
- Experience in an embedded software environment
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Knowledge of Python
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Ability to write clear, concise, and understandable test plans
- Practical experience with black-box and white-box testing
- Assets: software development experience, web application testing experience, familiarity with automation tools (pytest, Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.), knowledge of IP protocols, video knowledge (SDI, ST 2110, H.264, H.265, WebRTC, etc.)
