About the role

  • Compliance Analyst supporting AML, responsible gaming, audits, and regulatory reporting for Pala Interactive's gaming platform. Coordinating compliance across North American jurisdictions and gaming regulators.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the review and implementation of Responsible Gaming and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) activities and data for North American jurisdictions, including AML-related regulatory submissions
  • Assist with the review and management of regulatory report submissions for North American jurisdictions
  • Coordinate with clients to complete and submit regulatory reports
  • Coordinate communications between Pala and gaming regulators
  • Coordinate periodic assessments, including platform certification, security assessments, internal audits, and external audits
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining compliance best practices and internal policies
  • Build relationships with teams and participate in strategic and operational meetings
  • Monitor compliance implementation and adoption across teams
  • Research and remain current on regulatory requirements for North American jurisdictions
  • Support the Compliance team throughout the product and platform lifecycle to ensure compliance with municipal, provincial, and federal laws and regulations
  • Maintain compliance-related documentation, policies, and procedures

Requirements

  • Proven working experience in compliance and dealing with gaming regulators
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong research abilities
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Willing and able to be licensed with gaming commissions in all jurisdictions, including clearing all necessary background checks and filing personal information
  • Experience filing reports with FINCEN, FINTRAC, etc. is preferred
  • Legal operations background in gaming regulations, compliance and licensing is a bonus
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to new environments and identify, propose and implement changes and improvements
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organized and thorough
  • Collaborative team player, excited and willing to do what it takes to get the job done
