About the role

  • RF Compliance Engineer preparing Safety Code 6 assessments and RF exposure analyses for ELITS wireless communication sites. Reviewing designs, installations, mitigation measures, and compliance documentation in Mississauga.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, revise, and approve SC6 assessments and compliance reports
  • Perform RF exposure analysis for wireless site configurations, including towers, rooftops, monopoles, and colocation sites
  • Develop mitigation measures such as signage, access restrictions, exclusion areas, antenna changes, height adjustments, and power limitations
  • Review surveys, installation records, site photographs, measurements, and orientation data to validate compliance
  • Confirm installed configurations against approved SC6 reports and RF designs
  • Review work completed by internal teams, subcontractors, and third-party engineering providers
  • Resolve technical, quality, and compliance issues
  • Maintain calculations, revision history, approval records, and supporting engineering documentation
  • Contribute to audits and quality improvement
  • Support radio upgrades and new site-build projects while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, Canadian regulations, and professional engineering standards
  • Collaborate closely with market-leading customers on digitization and transformation projects

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Wireless Communications, or a related discipline
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in Canada
  • Hands-on experience preparing or independently reviewing SC6 assessments, RF exposure analyses, mitigation measures, and compliance reports for wireless communication sites
  • Experience in RF engineering, electromagnetic exposure, wireless network compliance, or radio network design
  • Experience with LTE and 5G NR systems
  • Experience reviewing RF planning specifications, Final Cell Designs (FCDs), civil drawings, site surveys, installation records, and as-built documentation
  • Ability to independently assess engineering work completed by internal teams, subcontractors, or third-party engineering providers
  • Strong technical writing, calculation, quality review, document control, and professional engineering review skills
  • Experience with RF exposure or electromagnetic field modelling tools is an asset
  • Experience supporting Canadian wireless operators and Canadian RF exposure requirements
  • Eligible to work in Canada; position is open to Canadian residents, including persons with a valid work permit in Canada
  • Strong analytical, logical reasoning, problem-solving, organizational, coordination, and multitasking abilities
