About the role
- Join Policy Reporter as an AI Developer III to build scalable ML/NLP solutions that extract insights from healthcare policy documents. Collaborate with teams and lead impactful projects in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Build scalable ML/NLP solutions that extract insights from healthcare policy documents
- Collaborate with data scientists and other developers to design and implement ML systems
- Identify opportunities for development of new data extraction pipelines
- Serve as project technical lead when needed
- Follow software development best practices
- Contribute to projects and adhere to project timelines
- Assist with technical incidents and reviews
- Keep updated with the latest AI technologies and write production-level code
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years with machine learning/natural language processing/large language models
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL
- Proven expertise in LLMs or other modern ML tools, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of SOLID design principles
- Skills in designing distributed and scalable systems
- Experience working with cloud technology stack (e.g. AWS)
- Experience defining and implementing APIs
- Database experience such as PostgreSQL
- Great communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience communicating directly with customers
