About the role
- QA Lead overseeing best practices for quality assurance and test automation at Portage CyberTech. Collaborating to enhance product quality in the CitizenOne product line.
Responsibilities
- Quality assurance leadership
- Lead and promote QA and quality engineering best practices within the engineering team
- Define, evolve and maintain a "shift-left" QA approach integrated into the SDLC
- Act as a quality partner to product and development teams
- Identify, document and track quality-related risks through to resolution
- Design, develop and evolve automated testing strategies (Playwright)
- Define and maintain test coverage aligned with functional and technical requirements
- Improve the reliability, maintainability and value of automated tests
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA team members
- Work closely with developers to improve testability and the quality of delivered solutions
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban)
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in software quality assurance, including a specialization in test automation
- Proven experience leading or influencing quality practices
- Strong proficiency with Playwright or an equivalent tool
- Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies and modern development lifecycles
- Proficient with Git (branching, pull requests, code reviews)
- Experience with issue tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Use of AI for generating, optimizing and analyzing test scripts and test cases
