About the role
- QC Inspector conducting industrial construction inspections at Syncrude Mildred Lake. Managing I.T.P.s, non-conformances, audits, and turnover documentation.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily site inspections and prepare inspection and other required reports
- Develop I.T.P.'s and ensure project I.T.P. requirements and sign-offs are completed
- Perform and report visual, dimensional control, material verification, incoming, final, and punch-list inspections
- Record and report non-conformances and participate in investigations and corrective-action resolution
- Compile quality documents for job files and turnover packages
- Assist with welder and craftsman training on Quality requirements
- Coordinate welder testing and record and file results
- Participate in internal and external quality audits
- Advise production personnel of inspection results
- Build effective relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and user groups
- Participate in company safety procedures, hazard identification, and reporting protocols
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of industrial construction experience
- Must have previous experience developing I.T.P's and completing final turnover
- CWB welding inspector qualifications – CSA W178.2 Level 2
- Sound knowledge of all N.D.E processes used in the industry
- Sound knowledge of ASME B31.3, pressure piping code, and regulatory requirements
- Sound knowledge of CSA W59 Structural Steel Codes
- Sound knowledge of CSA Z662 and NACE Level 1 or 2 considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Able to interact with all levels of management
- Detail-orientated
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in use of MS Office products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to represent the company in a professional and courteous manner
- Organized and self-motivated
