About the role
- QC Inspector conducting inspections, quality documentation, and turnover for industrial construction at CNRL Horizon. Supporting welding quality, audits, and non-conformance resolution.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily site inspections and prepare inspection and other required reports
- Develop I.T.P.s and ensure project I.T.P. requirements and sign-offs are completed
- Perform and report visual, dimensional control, material verification, incoming, final, and punch-list inspections
- Record and report non-conformances and participate in investigations and corrective action resolution
- Compile quality documents for job files and turnover packages
- Assist with welder and craftsman training on quality requirements
- Coordinate welder testing and record and file results
- Participate in internal and external quality audits
- Advise production personnel of inspection results
- Build effective relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and user groups
- Participate in safety procedures, hazard identification, and reporting protocols
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial construction experience
- Previous experience developing I.T.P's and completing final turnover
- CWB welding inspector qualification — CSA W178.2 Level 2
- Sound knowledge of N.D.E. processes used in the industry
- Sound knowledge of ASME B31.3 pressure piping code and regulatory requirements
- Sound knowledge of CSA W59 Structural Steel Codes
- Knowledge of CSA Z662 and NACE Level 1 or 2 considered an asset
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office products
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of management
- Detail-oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to represent the company professionally and courteously
- Organized and self-motivated
