About the role

  • Junior Accountant supporting billing, receivables, reconciliations, and month-end close. Helping Procurify modernize organizational spend management through automation and AI-enhanced procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices according to contract terms and company policies
  • Review billing details, customer information, and contract data
  • Maintain current customer account records across financial and billing systems
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables to support cash flow and reduce aging balances
  • Handle customer billing inquiries
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
  • Provide backup support for vendor invoice or payment inquiries
  • Prepare AR aging analyses, cash collection reports, and other management financial reports
  • Support month-end close, account reconciliations, revenue checks, and variance analyses
  • Provide backup and cross-functional AP support, including invoice processing, vendor inquiries, and payment runs
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve data accuracy
  • Support implementation and adoption of tools and automation
  • Use Procurify’s platform in daily workflows and provide feedback for product and process improvements

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar Finance role, preferably in SaaS
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Curiosity and initiative
  • Comfort working with Excel or Google Sheets
  • Willingness to learn accounting and CRM systems, such as Sage Intacct and Salesforce
  • Openness to learning automation and AI tools, including Claude and Gemini
  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Interest in growing a career within a collaborative, fast-paced finance team
  • Professional and current LinkedIn profile
  • Must have Canadian work status: Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Open Work Permit, or Closed Work Permit
