About the role

  • Art Director leading creative concepts and design execution for Quietly, an award-winning consultancy proving content’s business impact. Creating digital, editorial, and campaign assets for major brands.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of big content ideas from brief through ideation, execution, and deployment
  • Set creative and design direction across projects, ensuring strategic strength, visual appeal, and alignment with client goals
  • Design and oversee assets including online publications, reports, whitepapers, ebooks, websites, page layouts, infographics, presentation decks, and campaign creative
  • Lead creative reviews and provide direction to designers, contractors, and creative partners
  • Oversee external partners across design, photography, video, motion graphics, and animation
  • Partner with content strategists, writers, and client leads to turn strategic thinking into cohesive creative concepts
  • Define project design goals, scope, and creative requirements, including time and resourcing estimates
  • Manage creative priorities and timelines across multiple projects, identifying risks and maintaining progress
  • Improve creative processes, production efficiencies, and use of internal and external resources
  • Lead client presentations, workshops, creative reviews, and new-business pitches
  • Stay current on creative trends, tools, and emerging formats and bring new ideas into the work
  • Report to the Head of Content
  • Support Quietly, an award-winning consultancy helping brands use content to drive business outcomes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of art direction and design experience in an agency or publishing environment
  • Strong background across digital platforms and integrated creative work
  • Experience communicating and presenting ideas internally and to clients
  • Strong attention to detail and design fundamentals such as hierarchy, layout, spacing, and typography
  • Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Portfolio demonstrating a track record of producing compelling work; applicants without a portfolio will not be considered
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Degree in design is a plus
  • Experience in video creation, editing, storyboarding, motion graphics, or animation is a bonus
  • B2B experience is a plus
