About the role

  • Enterprise Applications Engineer role at RBC managing and optimizing B2B integration platforms. Ensure uptime through monitoring and troubleshooting on enterprise file transmission systems.

Responsibilities

  • Join SEAS (Shared Enterprise Application Services) team as an Enterprise Applications Engineer to manage, support, and optimize our enterprise file transmission and B2B integration platforms
  • Maintain 99.9%+ uptime of Seeburger BIS platform (MFT, EDI, API Gateway) through daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and SLA-driven issue resolution
  • Onboard and maintain external partners by configuring protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/S), managing certificates, and resolving transmission issues
  • Design and maintain platform infrastructure through message mapping, workflow automation, custom scripting (JavaScript, BeanShell, PowerShell), and data validation
  • Manage SSL/TLS certificates, ensure regulatory compliance (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR), and respond to security incidents
  • Set up monitoring dashboards, analyze performance metrics, generate reporting insights, and resolve bottlenecks to maximize efficiency
  • Create runbooks and SOPs, maintain change logs, identify automation opportunities, and optimize workflows for productivity gains
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on platform upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery planning, and mentoring initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in computer science/IT (or 3+ years equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python)
  • SQL and networking/security fundamentals (TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, firewalls)
  • 2+ years managing MFT or EDI/B2B integration platforms
  • Strong knowledge of X12, EDIFACT, AS2, and SFTP
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with proven cross-functional teamwork skills
  • Nice-to-Have: Experience building complex workflows using Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell
  • Familiarity with AWS/Azure and modern APIs (SOAP, REST)
  • Knowledge of PCI-DSS, GDPR, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+
