About the role

  • Supply Chain Coordinator leading procurement, supplier management, inventory, and logistics for Earth Drilling’s drilling operations. Supporting cost control, supply continuity, and production readiness across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all purchasing and supply chain activities for the Company’s Canadian operations
  • Forecast, plan, and report at management level
  • Execute repetitive administrative tasks
  • Purchase commodities, equipment, and services
  • Establish and maintain contracts and effective vendor relationships
  • Manage supplier relationships to support quality, cost, and service-level goals
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance through meetings and evaluations
  • Onboard new suppliers and maintain documentation and approvals
  • Manage supplier payments, deposits, and invoice discrepancy resolution with Finance
  • Plan purchases based on operational schedules and forecasts
  • Handle import logistics and prepare customs documentation
  • Ensure accurate receiving processes and documentation in internal systems
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and supplier optimization projects
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks
  • Conduct surveillance of manufacturers and vendors for contract and delivery compliance
  • Manage materials planning, forecasting, and inventory levels
  • Coordinate movement, pickup, and delivery of equipment and materials
  • Resolve in-transit issues and claims
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Relevant post-secondary credentials or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in a supply chain position is required
  • Extensive experience with purchasing is required
  • Experience providing technical expertise in procurement and inventory management for an industrial setting
  • Experience working in a drilling or manufacturing company is required
  • Extensive experience with MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Teams, and MS Excel
  • Experience with inventory control, stock levels, and receiving processes
  • Strong attention to detail and record accuracy
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable and able to prioritize competing demands
  • Adaptable and able to work independently and in team settings
  • Proactive and results-driven, with a focus on supporting production readiness
