About the role
- Senior Backend Engineer joining a cross-functional team to develop APIs and tools for Remote's HR platform. Working in a fully remote, supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities
- You'll be joining a team of engineers across Frontend, Backend, SRE and QA.
- We're organised into cross-functional development teams assigned to specific verticals.
- You will be working on building tools, APIs and integrations for one of our products.
- Our backend is built with Elixir and Phoenix, with a Postgres database.

Requirements
- Significant experience as a Senior Backend Engineer, including building, shipping, and maintaining complex software projects.
- Postgres (or similar)
- CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar)
- Experience with Functional Programming languages such as Elixir, Erlang, Scala, Clojure, Haskell, etc. (Nice to have)
- Kubernetes (Nice to have)
- Docker (Nice to have)
- AWS (Nice to have)
- Nextjs (Nice to have)
- React/Vue/Angular (Nice to have)
