About the role
- IT Project Manager leading infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives for Saputo, a global dairy processor. Delivering cloud migrations, hardware refreshes, cybersecurity programs, and complex vendor-managed projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead IT infrastructure and cybersecurity projects, including cloud migrations, global hardware refreshes, and end-of-service lifecycle initiatives
- Define and lead project approaches from concept through execution
- Translate ambiguous business objectives into delivery strategies, work breakdown structures, staffing models, deliverables, and integrated project plans
- Establish project scope, estimates, schedules, costs, assumptions, and external dependencies
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Saputo IT Leadership Team covering risks, issues, decisions, and recommendations
- Communicate project information and changes to affected team members and stakeholders
- Lead and guide diverse project teams through influence, including indirect reports
- Manage internal and external relationships and coordinate work between global teams
- Work effectively in a multi-site delivery model
- Manage third-party vendors and system integrators across selection, contract negotiation, commercial governance, and delivery oversight
- Monitor scope, schedule, cost, quality, deliverables, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage project resources, capacity, roles, responsibilities, staffing plans, and shared capacity
- Enforce risk, issue, and quality management processes; resolve or escalate project problems
- Define statements of work, delivery governance, financials, change controls, and vendor performance expectations
- Coordinate quality planning, assurance, control activities, quality gates, and deliverable signoffs
- Coach and support IT resources serving as Project Leads
- Contribute to PMO tools, processes, methodologies, and project management skill development
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing environments (Consumer Packaged Goods preferred) or related industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; ability to provide updates to Director and VP levels; adept at building relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Experience reporting to and working with senior management and steering committees with stakeholders in IT and the Business
- Strong Business Acumen
- Experience managing Projects end to end from Initiation to Project Closure
- Building Project Plans, managing resources, forecasting project budgets over $1M, tracking actuals, and leading Steering Committees
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
- Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum (i.e. PMP, Prince II)
- SCRUM Master certification or successful completion of projects in hybrid or agile environments (asset)
- A minimum of 8 years of total IT project delivery experience, of which 3-5 years include leading full delivery lifecycle as well as managing a diverse team
- Experience delivering large projects or programs with complex application delivery
- Experience managing multiple system integrators
- Experience managing a global Deployment is an asset
- Experience delivering AI Use Case from Minimal Viable Product to full scale deployment (asset)
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a delivery team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to coordinate 20+ shared resources and collaborate at all levels; strong people management skills including delegation, motivation, coaching, and conflict management capabilities
- Ability to operate in complex, fast-paced project environment with interdependencies spanning multiple work-streams, teams, business divisions, geographies, time zones, and languages
- Experience managing packaged software and SaaS implementation methodologies; cross functional exposure, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain and HR/Payroll an asset
- Expert-level proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, MS Project Professional and Excel) and SharePoint
- French/English bilingual competency is an asset
- Product management knowledge or working experience is an asset
